Vintage 1961 Civil War Centennial Confederate five-year diary. This diary was produced in 1961 to mark the centennial of the start of the Civil War. The cover pictures Robert E. Lee on a horse with the Confederate motto ("Deo Vindice") above him and the Confederate flag in the background. All 13 states who were part of the Confederacy are listed on the cover of the diary. The diary is designed with a lock and key (included). Each page of the diary has a date (with no day) so this diary could be used for any year. The pages are edged with gold leaf. The diary is about 4" X 5" and .75" thick. Comes in the original box. A great tribute to the Confederacy from 63 years ago. Thanks for looking!
